President Obama has declared that the participation of the USA and its allies in the Iraqi war has ended. No comments on whether it was a victory or a defeat, as Mr. Bush “JUNIOR” did in 2003. The president also indicated that increased efforts will be made to end “the other war”, in Afghanistan.
As Sun Tzu indicated in “The Art of War”, the war is a very important matter for each country and therefore should be considered the last alternative to solve conflicts, but if necessary, should be managed efficiently and completed in a short campaign without having to change the generals.
THE FIRST AFGHAN WAR
This war had a clear objective:
- Defeat the Taliban because they were allies of Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups.
The war met most of the seven factors of Sun Tzu. The war had the UN approval, there was one general and only last a few months.
However, the leader of Al Qaeda was not taken prisoner, the country is not yet a democracy, narcotraffic and narcoterrorism continues and Al Qaeda is more active in Pakistan.
COST: The cost was affordable as a mean to reduce terrorism.
THE SECOND IRAQI WAR
The 2003 Iraqi war did not meet any of the Sun Tze factors. There was not a political agreement, no clear objectives, rumours of personal interests, disorganized the Iraqi army, destroyed cities producing too many victims and created a religious war.
The results were a real disaster:
- They eliminated a potential allied against an stronger fanatic enemy, Iran
- The seven years war affected the prestige of the USA and Allied armies.
- Too many rumours about personal interests
COST:
The final cost will be over ONE TRILLION US DOLLARS (1,000,000,000,000) and does not appear that there will be a pay back in many years.
The public relations departments has given the press news about the mineral resources available in the country, but this will only benefit the creditors of the allies.
The participants in my conferences have compared this amount with the increase in public debt of the USA and its Allies, the impact on the current crisis (as a result of frauds) and who are currently financing this debt.
Those financing this debt are also buying companies in the USA and its allies countries obtaining the control on key know how and technologies.
The impact of these wars in the debt will increase unemployment and reduce social and retirement benefits.
THE SECOND AFGHAN WAR
Again, this new war in Afghanistan does not meet any of the seven factors of Sun Tzu.
OBJECTIVES
Nobody can explain which are the objectives of this war beyond fighting Al Qaeda – again?- , implementing democracy (are they joking?), protecting women and children rights, geopolitics strategies and ¿what about narcotraffic and narcoterrorism?.
Mr Tzu clearly recommended many centuries ago against long war in distant territories, without clear objectives and changing generals who are not in agreement with the political strategies.
COST
The final current and deferred cost of this war will probably be near the cost of the second Iraqi war (over 600,000,000,000 US DOLLARS – 600,000 billions- with again an increase in the public debt and therefore a higher dependence on the creditors (China and the Gulf countries).
RECOMMENDATIONS
We should consider the “Auditors – Accounting point of view” and study the possibilities of implementing some of Sun Tzu factors:
- Divide the enemies using diplomacy
- Obtain full political approval to divide the territory among its neighbours, forcing them to exercise control on terrorism, narcotraffic, narcoterrorism and guaranty minimum human rights to women and children.
- Replace the ONE MILLION DOLLAR EACH COST SOLDIERS with a police oriented army from Egypt and Jordan, at a much lower cost, to control the taliban ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR EACH cost terrorists.
- Keep high technology control on the territory with only one base of operation.
THE FINANCIAL WAR
The USA and European countries are involved in a financial war, that we should understand, against the dark forces army. As has been clearly identified and exposed by Messrs Sarkosy and Blair the financial war is a reality and we should stop helping our enemies, increasing our public and private debts, selling our key real estates, manufacturing plants and technologies that will export our jobs to the BIC countries (Brazil, India and China).
We should listen to Mr Utsumi instead of Schemalense and Parag Khana´s recommendations or our children and grandchildren will have to emigrate to Asia in order to find jobs in not a very far future.
Some politicians does not understand the situation or prefer to obtain their own benefits instead of looking to their countries general interest.
THE WAR AGAINST NARCOTRAFFIC AND NARCOTERRORISM
The amounts expended in drugs affect both our public debt, the health of our leaders, destabilize neighbour countries and provide our enemies and terrorists with funds used to buy the bombs and bullets that kill our soldiers and innocent victims.
We have to fight narcotraffic in the USA and Europe. We should implement Olympic Games drug test any time there is a voting at the congress and senate, the board of directors meeting of all major companies and Hollywood and TV actors in contact with our children and youngsters.
This might look ridiculous to many, but the result would reduce drastically the enormous cost of the drug use, both medical and street security, also helping to avoid stupid decisions of leaders influenced by the effect of drugs.
In addition, it will solve many of the current problems that some drug producers or “transit” countries have, which is A VERY DAMAGING SITUATION.
